Usually I would just do a partial water change at a time. There probably isn’t anything contagious in the water unless you see some kind of lesions on the fish. Also, make sure you aren’t feeding them too much. I have found that is the quickest way people tend to kill their fish. If you only have one fish in there he only needs one teesie tiny pinch of food once a day and even every other day is ok. I always fed mine every other day and they did great on that plan.

Yeah, plecos are night owls. Over the years I have had several fish that I had too stay up late at night with the lights out to make sure they still existed somewhere in the tank!!

Just a hint on the pleco – you gotta be sure you have algae in the tank for him to eat and if not you can buy these algae wafers that sink to the bottom that they like to eat. Plecos are kinda hard to keep alive for some darn reason.
